Permaculture and Natural Building (Bioconstruction) at an Eco Farm

Arbeitgeber: Eco Caminhos

Standort: Freiburg im Breisgau

Overview

Eco Caminhos is a sustainable eco farm and social project located outside of Rio de Janeiro in the mountains of Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. Guided by the principles of permaculture, we have an ethical basis in caring for the earth and caring for people. Our projects include organic farming, agroforestry, waste treatment, conservation, natural building, renewable energy systems, social work with underprivileged youth, and community development.

We aim to be a model for sustainable and happy living, working in harmony with nature, producing our own food and energy, managing waste, and sharing knowledge to inspire others to adopt more sustainable lifestyles.

As a volunteer at our eco farm, you will be able to work on a variety of different projects, depending on your experience, abilities, goals, and/or interests. You can focus on a specific area or experience a little bit of everything. There are always tasks available, and your roles are flexible and dependent on you.

Our location also offers opportunities to practice Portuguese daily, participate in volunteer nights, and explore Rio de Janeiro on weekends if you wish. More information is available on our website:
